Reiki/Energy Balancing - $65Reiki is a healing technique that uses energy that flows through the body of the practitioner into the client, who is fully clothed. The practitioner uses a series of hand positions either directly on or just above the client's body. The experience is very relaxing and relieving of stress; it is not uncommon for the client to fall asleep. During a state of complete relaxation, Reiki can work its healing on deeper levels as it does not require conscious effort to heal. All the client needs to do is relax, be open to receiving the energy and healing and enjoy. Reiki helps to clear blockages within the body's energy systems and meridians for deeper healing and is beneficial to anyone looking to relax and reduce stress and improve their emotional health. This form of healing is gentle and safe but very effective. It is great for people of all ages including elders, children and babies.
During a Reiki session, the client lies on a message table, fully clothed, while the Reiki practitioner places his or her hands on or near the client's body. The Reiki energy flows from the universal Reiki source to and through the practitioner to the client. The Reiki energy knows what is needed and where it is needed. Since the God-consciousness and not the mind of the practitioner direct the energy, it can never do harm.
The experience of the client varies greatly from person to person and from time to time for the same person. You may expect to feel deeply relaxed and centered after a Reiki session. It may be a profound spiritual experience, a super nap, or just a pleasant time of relaxation. You may have images come to mind, or experience feelings or emotions. Clients often report that pain is diminished or gone after a Reiki session even if the practitioner did not know that the pain existed. Many people feel heat or the vibrational energy from the practitioner's hands. Reiki can help relieve physical and emotional pain, promote spiritual clarity, speed the healing process and balance the body's energy.

Reflexology is a natural healing science used by applying pressure to minute points in the feet, which creates a stimulating effect in corresponding areas throughout the whole body. In a direct way we work through the nerve pathways, thus creating an energizing effect from the feet through the nervous system, culminating in the brain. Reflexology has a certain affinity with acupuncture as well, which uses the application of needles to specific dynamic meridian lines of energy, thus creating a stimulating effect. By working on the feet we are able to relieve many everyday medical problems.

The following is from “To Make A Voice, Native Flute Lesson and Wisdom” by John Two-Hawks, world famous Native Flute musician:
“Out of the ether it rises, a sound from a thousand years away. The enchanting voice echoes, swirls and dances into forever, calling our spirit to come and sit beside the sacred healing fires. Rising still, the ancient sound transcends all time, eternity contained in one moment, in on healing breath…
Can music heal? Well, for starters, anyone who has ever felt and expressed emotion while listening to a song has experience the healing power of music. So the short answer I will give to this – yes, music can heal. Having said that, the next question is, what about the Native flute? Anyone who has heard the haunting voice of an American Indian flute knows that there is something about that sound that is more than just music for the sake of music. Within every raspy note there is something hidden, something with speaks to us in a way few other instruments can. That hidden power is what gives the Hokagapi (Native American flute) its most meaningful gift – the ability to heal.
…the American Indian flute has the power to relax, soothe and calm – and to be relaxed, soothed and calmed is to be healed deep within the essence of our being…we are not really that concerned with ‘how’ it all works, but just believe, and therefore are not surprised when it does.
…Most sicknesses begin growing deep inside, long before they appear in the body, and these ailments always find their root in some imbalance. The root of the word ‘disease’ is dis-ease, or lack of ease, which of course translates to stress. Stress is always, without exception, the result of internal imbalance due to a perceived trauma. Whether the trauma is real or not doesn’t change the resulting stress. Now don’t get me wrong, stress is a normal part life. Traumatic experiences do happen and do cause us stress. Loved ones pass on and we grieve. Arguments happen, and we get angry. And so on. It is good to grieve. It is good to express anger. These feelings are honest and real and it is right to honor them. Honoring them is part of being balanced in this life. But where we get out of balance and have problems is when we get stuck in those places of dis-ease. When we stay too long in that constant state of stress, sickness can take root deep inside and ultimately manifest in our bodies. Thus consider the whole person, because only when the root of a sickness of disease is addressed can complete healing be realized. This is the power of the Hokagapi. Without words, it can reach into those places where we are stuck, and free us from our dis-ease, healing us from the inside out….The sacred voice of the healing breath…”
We have put off implementing this policy in hopes that we wouldn’t have to, but due to the occurrences we have had lately of no-shows, we have decided it best that we now implement this cancellation policy. Our appointments are no different from doctor’s appointments, in that we expect the same respect as given to them. We understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone’s life which would cause consideration of canceling an appointment. In our desire to be effective and fair to all of our clients and out of consideration for out therapists’ time and travel, we have adopted the following policies.
24 hour advance notice is required when canceling an appointment. This allows the opportunity for someone else to schedule an appointment.
If you are unable to give us 24 hours advance notice you will be charged half the amount of your appointment. This amount must be paid prior to your next scheduled appointment.
No-shows
Anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their appointment for whatever reason will be considered a “no-show”. They will be charged the full amount for their “missed” appointment and future service will be denied until payment is made.
Arriving late
Appointment times have been arranged specifically for you. If you arrive late, your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Depending upon how late you arrive, your therapist will then determine if there is enough time remaining to start a treatment. Regardless of the length of the treatment actually given, you will be responsible for the “full” session.
Out of respect and consideration to your therapist and other clients, please plan accordingly and be on time.
THANK YOU AND WE LOOK FORWARD TO SERVING YOU
